It started off as a family game to find the best restaurant in Rome and now I have chosen to share with you the rubric we created. Here are the key points for a winning restaurant which I will apply to my palate landscape discovery in Calabria:

* Creativity: appreciation of stylistic choice in a gastronomic context

* Diversity: wide and diverse range of food products

* Socio-eco friendliness: extent of environmental and social etiquette

* Atmosphere: tone, style and ambience of the restaurant and service

* Palate: appreciation and dedicated attention to customer’s palate
